Favorite Complexion Makeup
Sharing my top picks for complexion products! All clean beauty of course!
Clean beauty is no longer a trend, but is rapidly becoming the new standard in the multi-billion dollar beauty industry. I started switching over to clean beauty products back in early 2018, and I’ve never looked back. More and more quality, high-performing products have come to market to replace their toxic counterparts. So, today I am breaking down my top complexion makeup products. Complexion products are the base of your makeup routine, so picking the right ones for YOU is important. I’m not much of a blogger, so lets keep this short, simple, and millennial spark notes style.
Sheer/Light Coverage
If you want a complexion product that is sheer/light coverage WITHOUT sunscreen, this is my top pick. Lightweight, natural finish, and can easily be applied with your fingers. I love the Summer Fridays Sheer Skin Tint for this. Like a sheer tint/light coverage but would prefer some SPF protection? This one from RMS is my GIRL! Perfect if you like a dewy, glowing complexion. (code: samanthag20 at checkout will save you 20% too) I wear the middle shade to add some color, but the lightest one is great if you want just the glow of your natural skintone, Not a big fan of the glow? This Dream Beam SPF tint from Kosas delivers the sheer coverage without the subtle shimmer.
Light to Moderate Coverage
If you prefer more of a moderate/buildable coverage, I love the BB Burst from Kosas if you’re looking for one that gives a dewy glow without the SPF. Want to skip the SPF and want more of a natural/slight matte finish? Westman Altelier’s Stick foundation takes the cake for me. Creamy, buildable coverage. Now, lets talk moderate coverage WITH SPF of 30. Tower 28, Sunny Days is a personal top pick that i have liked for literal years. Natural finish with mineral SPF, that has a moderate amount of coverage. Tower 28 is also a great brand if you have acne prone skin. Their Rescue Spray has been a staple in my skincare routine for nearly two years now! A great option for moderate coverage with SPF is Sunlight Tinted SPF from CRUNCHI. A pretty, naturally radiant finish with spf of 30. If the cleanest of clean ingredients wise is the name of your game, this is the one for you. Crunchi does crazy amounts of testing on their ingredients and products. Hands down the cleanest, high-performing brand out there right now in my opinion. If a higher SPF level with moderate coverage is what you’re seeking, the RMS Sun Cover up has a SPF of 50! It gives a natural finish.
Moderate to Full Coverage
If you’re more of a full coverage girly and like a natural/semi-matte finish then you might enjoy the CRUNCHI Flawless Foundation. I love applying this with my Crunchi No. 1 Flat top brush too. Help it wear all day with the Primer too! Looking for moderate to full coverage with SPF protection? Kosas Revealer Skin-Improving Foundation is my top pick! Naturally radiant finish with buildable coverage.
Favorite Concealers
Sheer, hydrating & illuminating: YSE Brightening Eye Cream- This is like if a concealer and eye cream had the most spectacular baby. Wear in place of concealer or under it. If you have dark circles, this will be your new obsession! (samantha-15 gets you 15% off too!)
Moderate to full coverage and not drying: Kosas Revealer Concealer and Tower 28’s Swipe Serum Concealer are always what I continue to go back to! Tower 28 is slightly more hydrating to me than the kosas. Both wear well all day long and I love using the Kosas Cloud Set Brightening Powder in either the pressed or loose form, to set my concealer. Also, this powder is great for applying after your sunscreen/face product if you want to set it in place and maintain a radiant complexion without looking oily. Best concealer brush of all time? THIS DUDE right here!
Favorite Face Sunscreens
RMS Supernatural Radiance Serum (Glowy with subtle shimmer) Wear on its own, or mix it with your foundation (samanthag for 20% off)
Supergoop Mineral UNSEEN Sunscreen (natural finish. sheer, no color) SPF 40
Supergoop Re-setting Mineral Powder (Great for reapplying once you’re out and about) SPF 35
Mineral Matte Screen SPF 40 (Mattifying sunscreen if you don’t like the shine or are more oily)
